I was deadset on getting a Honda Civic(1996-2000), but my gf is worried about the safety aspect and I’m worried that even if I find one with perfect service records that just given the age of it things will start to break down more often than we could keep up with it.
We’re thinking of using the $3k as a down payment and get something around $7k-$8k.
Something like this Hyundai Elantra
What do you all think? Lower priced older car or higher priced modern car?
