So I have a plan of working 9 months a year only. We're the family of 3, and want to travel 3 months a year, Asian countries mostly. We currently live in a very expensive area where I am working full time (San Francisco Bay). Since I can work remotely, I plan to contract for 9 months, save, hit the road, repeat every year. To do this I want to understand if there is an inexpensive place to stay in USA with good schools, so little one can continue education. What I found is places like Yuma, Arizona with inexpensive houses or rent. However, schools in inexpensive areas are normally bad. I'm wondering if there are any places with a good balance.
