I’m sure you’ve read many previous posts regarding safety razors versus disposables (me too). I got tired of spending $$ on disposable ones, in addition to the huge environmental waste. I’ve been hesitant to make the plunge, mostly for fear of cutting myself (I’m female and tend to nick my ankle area), but a few weeks ago decided to just try it out.
Verdict: I love it and will never go back to disposables! It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. I went slow, and didn’t apply as much pressure as I did with disposables. The quality of the shave is amazing. With my old razors I’d have to shave almost every day, and a razor would last me 2-3 shaves. With the safety razor the shave is so close so I’m not having to shave as often. One blade has lasted almost two weeks. And I’ve actually had LESS nicks.
Best of all, it’s a great bargain. I bought the razor for $18, and 100 blades for $7. I highly recommend this over disposables, and wish I had done this years ago.
