I have to move up to north county because I am changing jobs. I found a place and everyone has agreed to let me put up a shed in the backyard in agreement with city code (cannot exceed 120 sq ft). I've been looking at the arrow high roofs or woodbridge ones from home depot. However, I wonder if maybe I should just buy some 2 x 4s and make something myself on the cheap.Since I am actually putting a workshop in there, it's hard to find ones that you can easily stand up in, put up shelving, and also meet code by being under 120 sq ft. I would rather customize my dimensions to 9 x 13 ft and make it 8ft height, standard 2x4 length. What would be some references for setting up something stupid easy? I don't have much carpentry skills, though I do have most of the tools I'd need: drills, miter saw, circular saw, band saw, planers, sanders..What are most daunting to me are windows and doors.Since I'm just renting here, I'd like it to be easily taken down. The weather is fine here, no big winds, hardly ever rains, no snow..southern california. Very dry climate. So basically it just needs to be stable enough to stand, provide the working space, some light sound/temperature insulation, and a roof to block out sunlight. Also, its mainly going to be a one-man job on for the install/takedown.What would you do? Put up a metal shed which is clearly removable...or go with wood for the custom look, which has to be taken down at some point? What would be resources for beginner level wood shed on a renters budget? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3ho7pVG
