I think we can all agree hiphop/pop can instill a desire to consume.
But more interestingly, for me personally, I have certain music that will completely dissolve my desire to consume.
Indian classical music, like Ravi Shankar, and Hariprasad Chaurasia, makes me want to only shop at thrift stores and live in a tiny house.
Gregorian chants like John Tavener's, makes me want to just watch birds, hold my wife, and concern myself with no other worldly matters.
Anyone else have a special kind of music you like to listen to when you're desire to shop and get into the rat race becomes a little too strong?
