Hi reddit! i’m a 18 year old uni student who has never had to budget in my life and now i literallt live pay to pay. when i was growing up we were a lot poorer than everyone else and my single parent sacrificed a lot to put me through a private school. However, as a result i grew up with not much and now I blow my pay on whatever i want and have barely any savings and have no idea how to budget or plan or anything and have no one to teach me. I want to move out after covid but i know that i can’t because i would have no idea how to save money for bills, food etc because i would blow it all on clothes, food, all that kind of stuff. any help on budgeting, rent and saving money so that I can start to see some savings would be appreciated i really need to learn so i can be able to become financially independent as my home situation deteriorates
