I've got a tiny all-stucco balcony connected to the master that doesn't get much use partly because it's all stucco and gets dirty after a rain since the stucco doesn't drain perfectly. Here are some photos:https://ift.tt/2W6vatq wife and I are thinking of building a tiny floating deck with some composite deck boards and then throwing a bar table and bar chairs up there to enjoy the view. This is in sunny California, though it does rain occasionally. The balcony floor is graded with a drain. I'm thinking just a simple pressure treated wood frame and some simple decking up top will suffice. My question is how the frame would interface with the stucco. Should I just have the wood sit right on it? Should I get some kind of pad? Am I wasting my time? Should I just grab some interlocking deck tiles instead? (though I'd like the surface to be flat and level instead of graded) via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/30fG55x
