Has anyone collected any data on the cost of certain paper products per surface area? Namely paper towels, toilet paper and tissue paper to determine the cheapest per surface area?

I know brand matters a ton.. would have to measure a lot of brands..

We're so accustomed to using certain types of paper for certain things, and sometimes it makes sense.. might need softness for one thing and absorbency for another.. but I wonder to what extent we're paying for that specialization?

Some overlap is reasonable.. toilet paper as tissues sometimes for example. Tissues as a napkin? Not sure

What do you guys think? What's the cheapest paper product, that's still practical, to use for a given circumstance?
