I checked my credit score today and noticed that within a few days $7,000+ of medical debt had disappeared from my credit reports. The accounts that disappeared came from four different debt collection agencies, but I noticed that the debt was all from the same health care system. This is significant because this is most of my medical debt. Now, of course I'm suspicious because some of these were not close to hitting the 7 year mark and this feels too good to be true. What is going on? What should I expect to happen?
I hope they aren't playing with my heart because this medical debt was due to unexpected circumstances and has truly been devastating, but I'm trying not to be too hopeful. All advice is welcomed and appreciated!
