Hi all, laid off and I filed for unemployment. I got that going for now and I am applying with my resume and cover letter to jobs I am interested in.
Just wanted to say since I have your attention I feel many are in my shoes and I am thankful you are reading this and providing suggestions. I hope you and your families doing okay. My spouse works in health care field and I miss them a lot and currently haven’t physically seen them in a while...
I’m not even sure companies are looking to hire at the moment. The only thing giving me hope is that job postings have very recent dates. I’m confused and haven’t heard back from any potential employer.
I had about $190k in the 401k with Fidelity. Now that I am no longer working, what should I do with this 401k? Leave it or do something with it?
On a side note I am bummed and trying to keep my head up. I’ve learned despite being an awesome employee/colleague/manager companies will cut you off if they want. My company didn’t even need to lay off a ton of people since I am familiar with our company’s finances.
I am bummed and trying to keep my head up. If it helps I am 30 and with 3 kids and a spouse. No debt at all. We rent an apartment. Anyway my question is about the retirement and just wanted to vent that it sucks to be unemployed. Maybe I’ll buy Animal Crossing to relieve some stress.
