In short, my partner is getting a 20% COVID-19 furlough beginning next month. Her hours and pay are going down by 20%. But, her employer is getting federal and state (Work Share Oregon) payroll subsidies and increasing her paycheck to nearly 50% more than the pre-furlough total. Is this too good to be true?
This is in addition to the federal stimulus which we both qualified for and received. I'm almost feeling guilty about how well we've fared under the pandemic - we'll definitely be upping our charitable contributions!
