I like building things but this results in money spent and end result is usually crap that ends up in the bin. I've done sewing, wine making, cooking, wood work, carbon fiber and metal work to name a few.
Currently I can't stop thinking about building a streamlined velomobile, not because I need a velomobile. I have a car. However I can't stop thinking about it and have felt this way on and off for years.
I am at the point where I want to buy tools required to make a frame. However I know from experience that this little cost here and there will add up. Could cost $1,700 for a velomobile with electric assist.
If I left that $1,700 in investments it would would be $12,081 with a 4% return. Then again in 50 years I will have done nothing and die having not lived.
Such a dilemma.
