My wife is about to graduate and our income is going to substantially increase. Im 27 shes 26. Our gross income is going to go from 120k to 300k plus this year.
I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of finances and what/where to invest. Low cost index funds add bonds as we age type thing. All I read is finance stuff. Not saying I know everything but I feel like i have a good foundation.
Anyway, my wife isnt very up to speed on this stuff and wants to seek out a financial advisor. Understandbly. I simply do not trust people with my money. I am not paying some a percent of my wealth to manage my money when I can do a 3 or 4 fund portfolio and equal or beat them most likely with less fees. I understand her need to hear if from someone else tho.
How do I go about finding someone we can actually trust?
