Hello, I'm 21 and in my last semester of college and I am still pretty clueless about credit. I've been afraid of credit because of my family's history of having terrible credit.. and there's so much mixed information about credit that I don't know what sources to trust. I don't have any credit cards because my job isn't that stable but I do have bills I pay on time monthly. Stuff like student Spotify memberships, amazon prime membership, and medical bills.

I had to take out a couple of federal loans for college. I got a big refund check because I didn't expect to get some grants and scholarships that I applied for. My main question is, is it okay if I pay off a couple of those loans now even before being charged payments in the near future? I'm also thinking of finally opening up a credit card. Which one would you recommend for someone my age with my history?
