(18M) My mother and I are looking for health insurance. My mother is retired but she is not old enough for Medicare. I am 18 and my father cut me off his health insurance plan. I spoke with a health insurance agent and he told me to apply for Medicaid but I was not qualified for it because I guess I had money in my bank account and medicaid is only for dirt poor people I guess. Can anyone recommend a website to find the best health insurance or one where I can compare plans?
I was so used to living without health insurance ever since my father cut me off at 16. Is health insurance really needed? I never had to go to the hospital and when I was sick. I just stayed in bed or went to a pharmacy and I was all better.
