There are several ways you can enjoy Costco without being a member. I did some digging about a month ago because I wanted to eat at their discount cafe. By doing some research, I found out 2 other ways you can enjoy Costco as well besides just tagging along with a friend!
First, I believe a membership is around $50/yr. You don't have to have a membership to eat at the cafe. They have great deals- hotdog &soda for 1.50, pizza slice (pepperoni, cheese, or veggie) for $2, whole pizza for $10, Cesar salad for $4, etc.
Another way is Instacart. You can order on Instacart and you do not have to be a member. However, there are delivery and service fees associated with Instacart so this method would only save money if you only plan to do it once or twice per year.
You can also shop at Costco with Costco gift cards! This way would need a member to buy the gift card for you, but then you can shop there by yourself and pay with the gift card!
I have already enjoyed many cheap lunches there so far!
