I want to buy my mom a new frying pan because her current one has a messed up black surface (and I dont think the surface is supposed to be also chewed up).

I have gone through a lot of posts on here and everyone always recommends cast iron or carbon steel but after looking into them they require careful maintenence. My mom is old school and doesn't do any proper maintenance on her pans (other than cleaning them right after cooking). And she is stubborn in her ways and wont change the way shes learned to cook for years. So trying to teach her the careful maintenence needed for carbon steel or cast iron is out of the question.

She has a stainless steel set but I just want to replace the one frying pan that she has that has a black surface. I assumed that all non stick pans used teflon but after doing some quick searches on amazon/google/wirecutter non of the results really mention using teflon. they all use different materials that aren't really explained clearly.

What is a good 10" nonstick frying pan?
