On Tuesday, November 5 I placed an order on Popeyes.com for delivery. The delivery driver eventually called me and said that she didn't want to wait for my order because the line was too long. She marked it as delivered (a complete lie) and told me I'd have to call customer service for a refund.
So I called them that same night and was told that they would issue me a refund. I waited for a full week without receiving one, so I called back on Tuesday, November 12. The woman was like, "We sent you a coupon." I said, "I don't want a coupon. I want my money back. I paid for the food and never received it." She said that they'd issue a refund.
I still haven't gotten it, so I called back today (Saturday, November 16), and the customer service person said, "I'm looking at the notes for your case, and it says here that you're okay with a coupon." I told her that was bullshit and that I specifically said I was not okay with a coupon. I told her that if I don't have my money back by Tuesday, November 19 (two full weeks after I first requested it), then I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. She said that they'd issue a refund, but I'm obviously not expecting them to.
So my question here is that I'm not being unreasonable by asking for a chargeback here, right? I don't want to get flagged by my credit card company for being a problem customer or something.
