Hey guys,

Wanted to quickly review these TM Lewin dress shirts, as sales from the store are often posted on this sub.

I wear suits 5 days a week, so am always on the lookout for new, cheap, well fitting shirts. I prefer shirts that have a bit of stretch, and these came in a bunch of fits, so I tried them.

I originally purchased one about a year ago, I think it was a Stretch Slim Fit. The shirt felt amazing - lightweight, stretchy, soft, and comfortable.

I purchased 3 more during a sale, and then about a month later, 3 more. They were cheap, stretchy, and nice, so I loved them. Over the last couple months, I've bought a few more.

They come in a variety of fits, and at 6 foot and 165 pounds, the Super Fitted was nearly perfect. It fits better than Charles Tyrwhitt for me, and feels great when it's on.

Here's the problem. I noticed a couple of the shirts had giant rips at the fold of the collar (the part you fold up to tie a tie, then fold back down to make it back into a collar, if that makes sense.)

Every single one of the shirts is now in some state of ruin. 6 or 7 have these giant collar rips, on the inside and outside of the collar. One of the ones I bought just a month ago and I've worn twice, just got a giant rip in the elbow.

I've not work any of these shirts more than 10-15 times, I clean them exactly as directed on the tag, and yet all of them are falling to pieces. The collar rips make the collar extremely uncomfortable and scratchy.

I have a couple of Charles Tyrwhitt shirts as well, and while I don't like the fit quite as much, they have held up - the collars are not ripped, nor are the elbows.

All in all, I feel like I've wasted a ton of money thinking these great shirts would last, but they've all fallen apart and are basically unwearable - and now need to replace nearly my entire dress shirt wardrobe.

I'm currently at work and will post an album with pictures when I get home.

Overall Grades:

Comfort: 10/10 (until they break)

Fits: 9/10 (until they break)

Price: at $30, 10/10 if they last. As they don't, 2/10.

TL;DR: These are great, stretchy shirts, if you are okay with replacing them after wearing them like 5 or 6 times. They absolutely do not hold up. Charles Tyrwhitt shirts I own have held up much better, though I don't like the fit as much.

Edit: Just want to add that I have a desk job. I'm not running around or anything in the shirts!
