Everyone probably knows about the Equafax data breach settlement and that they're now requiring you to obtain credit monitoring services if you selected the cash payment. Well, I amended my Equafax claim to approximately 6 years of credit monitoring to satisfy the requirments of the Yahoo Security Breach Proposed Settlement.
If you had a Yahoo account anytime in 2012 through 2016, a pending class action settlement may affect you. [https://yahoodatabreachsettlement.com/ ]
The proposed settlements are similar in that they both require you to obtain credit monitoring and the monetary payouts are similar, but I figured Yahoo would be a better payout due to the smaller pool of claims and the Equafax settlement offering a longer duration of credit monitoring.
