I'm used to seeing $2000-$5000 rings in the US. Recently I went on a trip to Turkey and found $80 gold bands with zirconium in them. That got me thinking a ring is really only worth it's weight in gold. Plus whatever it costs to shape it. And I always hear diamonds are artificially inflated in value...
So if my fiance really doesn't care how much I spent on the ring, how do I get a cheap one? I'm just looking for a simple gold band with a single diamond. I feel like I should be able to get that for under $500 somewhere. Outside the country seems like a good choice.
