I (28F) found a new potential job and have questions about salary negotiation.
I really want this job, because it's everything my current job isn't, but I also don't want to undersell myself like I did for my current job.
HR wants to discuss salary. If they ask me what I currently make, can I just tell them "I want $XXk"? Do I give a range? If they ask me what I want, can I say "what do you normally pay for this position"?
I'm looking at Glassdoor and calling a friend in the industry to make sure I'm asking for what I'm worth. I just don't know how to ask for it.
