I’m fortunate enough to have Medicaid, but my partner has been without health insurance his whole life and I want to help in some way. I’d like to be able to pay for his health insurance if I can find the right plan, or qualify for something inexpensive under his name. His mother never vaccinated him and he has a severe eating disorder to where he can no longer keep food down if he wants to. It pains me to see him struggle with his mental health along with his physical health. He is an independent 18 year old college student with a job, but in 2018 his mother claimed him on her taxes even when she shouldn’t have, and I’m not sure if that would cause any problems. Honestly, I’m clueless in all of this and I’m looking for any advice that I can get. I have more than enough money to share and we both grew up not having much and I want to take care of him in anyway that I can.
