I am 25 years old and want to move out of my parents for the first time. I do not want a roommate. Looking for some other peoples opionions on whether or not I can afford this apartment I found for $1650 a month, plus electric, plus cable. Its the perfect place for me and my cat.
I am a nurse. I bring home $4200 a month without overtime. My monthly finances (car, student loan, insurance, etc) add up to $1100 a month. So 4200-1100=$3100. Minus rent/utilities (lets estimate 1900) that leaves me with $1200 in my pocket after all my bills. Is that enough money? I do enjoy going out for dinner/drinks and the occasional concert. Anybody else in a similar financial situation?
