I've been trying to budget food but still end up spending $400 pm easily on food. For context, I live in a HCOL area, eat lunches at office, try to cook dinner or have frozen food for dinner on weeknights and go out on weekends (2 meals). The weekends do tend to take up a chunk of money, given that every meal is atleast $30. How do you budget for night outs on weekends? Is $400 pm too high for a single person?
