For the past 4 years I have been living in a great neighborhood with a decent small grocery store a few blocks away. I walk there every day that I end up making dinner. I stick to my list religiously so I don't find that more trips to the store allowed for more spending on unnecessary items. I LOVE that I don't throw away any food because I use it right away and it is fresh (the meals are pretty fruit/veg centric). I LOVE that I don't have to drive and that I get to get an extra walk in every day.

In October I will be moving to a city where the grocery stores are very spread out and I imagine it will have to drive or bike, and therefore will probably go less often. For those that have done both, do you think you spend more money per month going every day or less often? I'm a little nervous about having a full refrigerator and the pressure of using all the food before it expires.
