Hello. So I have an outlet that seems to have fried for an unknown reason. We've had a few thunderstorms lately which may have been the cause but, anyways. So the fuse is not tripped. The other outlet along the same wall works fine, and is indeed on the same circuit.I replaced the outlet and while I was taking the outlet off the white wire started sparking like crazy (I didn't turn off the breaker. I'm sorry it was stupid.) the replaced outlet was new and still did not work. What can I do to fix this problem? Should I just hire an electrician?I have an old house, but the electrical system is relatively new with a 200 amp panel that our home inspector called a lovely piece of work. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2l4yO7v
