I went to McDonald's recently and my cheap self can't buy anything other than the $1 hamburger.
I was at the new self service kiosk just poking around and I saw customization options for the regular hamburger.
Now, all McDonald's are different so this might not be the case everywhere but I was able to add lettuce, two tomato slices and mayo at NO additional charge. I just doubled the size of my hamburger for free!
