I recently started eating healthier foods and going to restaurants less, and it's already making me appreciate simple meals and snacks more. For example I'm trying to eat as little carbohydrates as possible, so a simple toast or 1.50$ Sidekicks pastas now feel like rewards and I really enjoy them. I will save a lot of money living like this. I used to allow myself some Chinese food or McDonalds maybe 1-2 times a week but now I get pretty much the same treat feeling from cheap pasta.
