I’m installing a new bathroom fan. The housing for the new fan is larger than the old. I cut out the dry wall and culled the electrical wires over. Problem is, the cable insulation was stripped too high that it doesn’t come all the way through the new hole. The white and black wires seem fine because they have their own insulation, but the ground wire doesn’t and it’s exposed. It’s exposed about 2” up from the housing hole. Is this a problem? If so, how should I address? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2w8ndGW
