The previous owner of our brand new home graciously left us a TV mount and a couple of holes for elegantly hiding the TV, HDMI, etc. cables behind the wall. I clumsily got our brand new TV cord stuck behind the wall when I realized the TV's power input was farther from the upper hole and I tried to pull the cord farther, all the while forgetting to tether the bottom end first. The bottom came up through the wall and now it's stuck somewhere inside, probably caught on some stud that I cannot see and I cannot not reach the bottom through the bottom hole to pull it back down.Solutions I have tried: using unwound hanger with the hook end bent around the cable and shoved down through the top hole in attempt to pry it loose or push it back down to the bottom; using the same hanger to pry it loose or pull it down from the bottom hole. Neither attempts have been successful. The more I mess with this the more I fear that I am ruining the insulation and whatever else is behind the wall.Does anyone have some better strategy and words of hope? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2w7jeKC
