Had an awning done as part of a contractor work that included a roof and gutters, he did a crap job, wood cracked, paint chipped. I scraped off all the paint, filled in all the cracks, and also bought a skirt for the base of the posts to hide the metal base of the 4x4 posts that secure it to the steps. Gonna sand today, clean off one last time before painting, should I attach these trim pieces before I paint, or after? I assume before, but I am not really sure. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2H7QcAV
