Hey, BFL!
I adore the look of this sweater, but I've heard that merino wool isn't the most durable fabric, and the price is a bit steep. In terms of design it's absolutely perfect, I love the full zip, ribbing, reinforcements and the breast pocket, I'm just not confident that merino wool will stand up to heavy outdoor use.
The sweater takes a ton of design inspiration from the classic wooly pully, but I'd like to avoid buying a straight up wooly pully. I love the unobtrusive wool shoulder patches on this sweater, but I can't stand the garish nylon patches on the OG.
