I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this. I work as a granite installer in the state of Maryland. Me and my coworkers are salaried employees who work 12 hour days installing granite, marble and quartz countertops. That said, we work 60 hours a week, but are only paid for 40 of those hours. Our boss says that he is exempt from paying us for the additional 20 hours we work each week. This is a job that does not require any certification, the skills required all come from on the job training. Is he justified in his refusal to pay overtime or is he wrong?
