I usually only apply for full-time positions, and I ask for 120k/year, which is about $55/hour. Today, I got an offer for a Contract Role, and they offered me $70/hour (144k/year)!! This has never happened to me before.
Although it is a contract role, I will be employed by the staffing company who helped me find a job so that I will be getting the standard W2. Basically, I will be a full-time employee under the recruiting company on the paper. I think this is how staffing firm attract people these days
Obviously, the benefits are pretty bad since it is a contract role, but I still can't believe they offered that much. I mean it is a lot more than what I initially asked for even after I minus the benefits I might get from a full-time position.
I don't want to say I have trust issues, but I feel like there MUST be something fishy about this. I don't know what it is and Idk what questions I should ask.
