Parents are planning on remodeling the house and I am tasked with redoing the kitchen cabinets. After some research I decided to repaint it with Rust-oleum figuring it wouldn't be to bad to degloss/sand off the paint done by the previous owner.But after further inspection it looks like some of the panels are made up of compressed wood sandwiched between plastic veneers which are peeling off. The panels probably won't fare too well if I proceed with the sanding. How should I go about to redoing the kitchen in this case?
