I got darn tough socks 3 years ago and they are all I have for socks. I figure I wont have to buy another pair anymore. Anyways, 3 got big holes in them. I googled the process, and saw bad reviews on the process including on this sub. I wanted to share my experience!
I washed the socks, then went online for the warranty. I found the model, color, and the place I bough them. They they gave me a packing slip, and I paid the $5 for the shipping of 3. Couple days later, I got an email for reimbursement for the cost of the model. Since I had 3, it was enough for free shipping. So for $5 I got 3 new pairs. Buy it for life in one way or another!
I prefer these socks over alot of other wool socks, and would buy them without the warranty.
