Last month I started getting commission on my repair work in addition to my salary. I'm supposed to get 5% of all labor I perform that we charge to customers.
Anyway I got my first direct deposit of the commission and it was significantly higher than what I expected it to be. Pretty much double. So I think the company may be calculating things incorrectly.
I'm not sure what to do. I did being it up to one of the managers casually and they just brushed it off and didn't really care.
I was thinking I'll put all of this bonus money in a savings account and not touch it, in case they ask for it back one day in the future.
There were no contracts signed. I was just told one day by my supervisor that the owner wanted to start giving me 5% commission as an extra bonus and incentive for me. It's also possible that everything is calculating correctly after all and my supervisor misunderstood about the percentage amount.
