Caution: First time poster and first time DIYer.I rented a jackhammer and made a trench for plumbing in my basement remodel. In digging up the trench, I noticed they had a poly vapor barrier under the concrete slab (you can see it poking out in this picture). When I patch this in with new concrete after laying the pipes, I'm assuming I should maintain this vapor barrier. How do I patch in the existing vapor barrier with the new? I tried searching all over this Reddit and the Googles for similar questions, but can't find anything. The old vapor barrier is incredibly dusty and there's not much space to work with so I don't think taping the new and old with tuck tape would adhere (if I can even get it under the concrete).Side note: I tried to use the Discord, but when you join the server the only channels you get is the #welcome-channel. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2WcXQTB
