My wife and I are house hunting in the SF Bay Area right now, which is about as easy as breeding unicorns. I fluctuate daily between feeling in control and complete existential panic. I'm hoping I can get some eyes on my prospective budget by some people who may be somewhat familiar with Bay Area home prices. Our families are both on the east coast and we have a hard time talking with them about it because these numbers are so beyond their realm of comprehension.
