Our bathroom fan has never been cleaned since my parents bought the house years and years ago, so I decided it was time to clean it, it wasn't making these noises before mind you. I pull the fan out, proceed to clean it using an old toothbrush, and when I reinstall it, it starts making a loud creaking noise, it's not scraping on the side and all the fan blades are intact and facing the right way. It seems to be making the noise on the motor and when it does the fan blade spinning goes slower. Not sure what to do... via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2I044MB
