http://bit.ly/2ZdM9tL DIYers,I'd like to get general and specific advise about this issue:Last December (2018), we bought a house that was initially built in 1954, and has gone several upgrade/renovations. As it's getting warmer, we would like to connect a hose to this spigot. The ??? is threaded from the inside. Would something like:work, in terms of - threaded end making a water-tight seal with ???, and other end being compatible with a 150 foot hose (not yet purchased)? If not, could you suggest an adapter?Possible adapter?Generally:The assembly is old, rusted and leaky - should the entire thing be changed? The opposite end (in the house) is in the basement-level utility room. Is that clearance too large and should I close it somehow to prevent air/insects/whatever from getting in?Is there anything else I should consider?thanks, all advice is appreciated. Winter is just about ending and a new set of spring/summer projects are coming up now. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2PeqgWH
