The place will require: Gas Electric and water bills. My coworker said her gas bill is 200 a month but she has high ceilings. This also has me wondering do I estimate (with our already current monthly expenses) i.e. 1300 and divide it by 4 = 325 Then take it by 2, to get 162.5. And that's how much we each set aside a week or should I focus one bill per paycheck with each of us? The first method is what I do now. But we don't have utilities or rent at the moment.
I know the obvious use cold water when possible, get the cheapest internet, turn off lights when they aren't in use. I already turn off water when I'm not using it. My phone will be going on the lowest plan possible or I'll switch to prepay. We don't plan on getting cable. Just hulu and or Netflix. I have heard of people only flushing the toilet when the go number 2. This place is also right across the street from work so we can walk and save on fuel that way. We hardly eat out and we plan to cook cheap meals big enough to make it last a few days.
It won't have a washer dryer but has hook ups so we can buy those, get a portable one for dorms, or use a laundry mat. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I have really bad anxiety so any money saving suggestion helps.
