I've been a wantrepreneur for a while now, and I'm looking to change that, by becoming a notary as a form of side income. From what I understand, a notary's responsibilities are:
- Get certified for 200-400 dollars
- (If mobile) Go to client locations
- Notarize documents
If I'm not mistaken, most notaries make their money with travelling fees, or other fees like "rush" fees or "after midnight" fees. I've been doing research for the past week or two and so far I haven't been able to find anything really definitive on how to become a notary, besides getting certified.
If any notaries are reading this, how do you get clients? Can you really just start charging 100 dollars right off the bat? Are there any mistakes I should avoid making? I'm appreciative of any help anyone can provide, and even if you have none, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this.
