This summer I will stay with a family i know from babysitting for 6 weeks while taking care of their child. Their kid can be difficult, and they want me to tutor him which is hard as he has learning difficulties. A few days ago we met up to discuss the payment and the contract, and I’m not really satisfied with how much I’ll receive. They said they would pay be 80 euros a week. I was hoping for at least 120 euros, or at least get payed 3 euros per hour. I understand that they’re hosting me and paying for my food, but I don’t think that’s enough considering I’ll be working 50 ish hours a week. I’ll be 17 so I’m not old enough to make any proper contracts so I don’t know what to do.
Am I asking for too much? How much should I ask for? Also how do I ask politely?
If you have any advice I’d greatly appreciate it.
