Good evening,I ripped out some carpet from our smaller room, and I laid down a bunch of baking soda/hydrogen peroxide due to cat urine. It bleached it a little and took out most of the smell. I then sanded it with my radial with some sand paper (can’t remember the grit off the top of my head).I’m not sure where to go next. Ideally, I’d like to darken the floor a bit to make it more coffee color or so, but I don’t know if I’ve sanded it enough. Then after I stain it, I’m not sure how to seal it to protect it. This is the first time I’ve done this, so I don’t really know where to go from here. One more thing to note is that there are gaps in the floor, some large and some small. Do I need to worry about those, or since it is cold, did the wood shrink and will expand in the summer when it is hot?Floor! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2FRZIaQ
