Hi, I'm new to the sub so apologies if o break any etiquette. My partner is due to have our baby in 12 weeks and currently we have a large gravel/stone yard, I'm planning to buy some decking tiles to cover it as it looks awful and it's not a pleasant surface for when the baby is old enough to be outside. I have measured the area (roughly) and I'm ready to order the tile, my question is can I lay it directly on top (there is a membrane beneath) if I level it or do I need to compact it/lay sharp sand first? I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible and hiring a whacker is £50 I could do with saving. Thanks a lot via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2uHDzoY
