I'm in need of a replacement electric toothbrush. Their highest end Oral B (Genius) uses the exact same heads as the budget one I'm using now. Personally, I'm bored of them, and want to buy a Philips.

Unfortunately, Philips uses the old style of brand naming, where yearly iterations have the same name, without it being obvious what the difference is. My budget is around £125 ($160), with the HX9359/89 falling within it. Personally, I want to spend £50 or less, only stretching to £125 because it's "for life".

It's not obvious what the differences are between the brushes. I can't tell what's a sonicare, flexcare or diamondclean. What seems to vary are the number of spare heads, whether it comes with a travel case, glass charger, air floss or even a spare toothbrush.

What provides the most value for money? If they're selling the air flosser for £75 and the floss+toothbrush for £100, I know I'm getting a bargain. But I don't know if the flosser is good, and I floss everyday with string.
