I'm looking for a high-quality leather briefcase that I can use daily, while traveling every week for work. I carry quite a a bit in my current briefcase: umbrella, laptop, chargers, headphones, notebook, etc. - I want a briefcase which can comfortable fit everything. My budget is less than $1k, assuming it's a true BIFL product, with some care.

So far, I've looked at three briefcases:

I'm leaning towards the Satchel & Page - is any one briefcase better than the other, and what should I be looking for in selecting a briefcase? Is there a different briefcase that I should be looking at - my ideal briefcase would be: http://www.glaserdesigns.com/2014/03/21/hand-burnished-handmade-espresso-flaptop-bag-16-x-12-x-4/.

Do I have to be concerned about the briefcase getting rained on, or damaged from putting it under airplane seats? Should I be looking at a waxed canvas bag instead, especially for weekly travel? Thanks!
