I'm trying to improve the storage situation for my bike. At the moment at the entrance to my apartment there is a thin is (80cm or so) stair well. I currently hang my bike on two brackets on the wall, however this means the pedals are fairly close to face height when entering the property. To combat this, and get the bike out the why, I've ordered some heavy duty door runners, and plan to attach them to the wall, and a some 18mm ply, which will allow me to hang my bike, then slide it up out the way. The thing is I'm not sure what exactly would be best to hold this in place out of the way.My current ideas: 1. Rope attached the the back of the ply running up through a pulley and back down where I can secure the board into position. 2. Some kind of gate bolt, that I could slide through a piece of wood attached to the back once it's in it's finally position.Ideally, I'd like to slide the bike up and it would just lock into the raised position, and then be able to press something to slide it down. Is there anything that would allow me to to do this?CheersSome photo's obviously when this get's finished :) via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2TxWWPl
